Our community voted YES to support the 2022 Saline Area Schools bond proposal, which will provide $180,000,000 for building & site improvements to address identified facility needs. The 2022 bond millage resulted in a net tax rate decrease of 0.50 mills on summer 2023 taxes.

On February 13, 2024, The Saline Board of Education approved funding for several bond-funded projects including the Operations Center, currently under construction, the High School STEAM Center and weight room additions, expected to begin construction this summer, and upgrading classroom audio/visual equipment in three buildings across the District this summer.

The groundbreaking event was held on March 22, at Saline High School. Construction at SHS will begin on March 25 and is expected to be an 18-month long process. Both additions are scheduled to open in August 2025. photo by Lonnie Huhman
